Farmer's crew came out with a propane torch driving along in a pick up lighting the fire. There was another truck with a huge water tank, just in case. Oldest happened to be home from school (teacher training day) and was thrilled to be around all the excitement. The fire escaped only in one place going up to the road. Honey, oldest and NY neighbor were able to get it under control quickly. Amazing what flame a little stubble can put off.
