Latest project....

In anticipation of the ground freezing soon, last weekend the boys started digging a trench to run a waterline from the house well to the new shop. They are also digging to put in hydrants to run to the spring to have around the farm. We have a big mess of 6 ft trenches- almost looks like a maze. We've had rain the last 3 days, which is very unusual for here, which is adding to everything.

This is what they dug through. The backhoe has been worth its weight in gold. What a job this has been to dig. Wish our friend Jeff could come by and tell us what he sees in this 6 ft layer!!!

Hopefully we can wrap this up this weekend. Next project will be running new power lines and putting in a new power pole. Looking forward to honey having a place to work this winter with power and plumbing!!! Then it will be insulating, wiring and covering with tin. He's got his work cut out for him, doesn't he???
