Update from here

Well, we are plugging along here.

Its been a good Christmas break.  The boys have been skiing twice over break. We've still got snow on the ground, but nothing major. Its supposed to warm up this week so we'll see what happens to that.

Oldest spent alot of time working on his science fair project. He's working on phase 3 of his biodiesel project.  He gets tremendous support from the teachers at school, and has gone in 4 days of break to meet with them and work through his report/project some times for 4 hours a day.  Talk about above and beyond, we are most grateful for the support they give him.

The stomach bug is currently residing at our house. Half the family has or had it. Hoping it doesn't continue down the line, but we can all guess how that will go. The healthy half is popping their Vitamin C like crazy!

Honey has been busy finishing up wiring in the shop. He got his electrical inspection finished and is moving forward preparing things for insulation.  He's always busy doing something.

I cannot believe the holiday break is almost over. And where did the year go??  The daylight is getting longer here, which I like. Its tough going to work in the dark and coming home in it as well.  I really miss the sunlight- must be the lack of vitamin D. 

Our lives will be speeding back up shortly with the start of ski season, Special Olympics as well as the adaptive ski program all 3 boys participate in, not to mention its getting prime time for FFA, Envirothon and Science Fair competitions as well.

Likely as you have, we've lost some loved ones this year whom will be greatly missed.  I'm reminded that people come into our lives for a reason, we are changed by their presence whether temporary or permanent.  With our previous military lifestyle, we have come to be blessed by connecting with so many wonderful people, some we have stayed connected with, some we remain connected in our hearts with. We all have the ability to make a difference to another, we need to be sure we are doing our part, making the difference we were meant to be, completing the mission we were sent to this earth to do.

We've watched our world and country go through great crisis and conflict.  I'll be praying for peace, for selflessness and for love of others.  Reminding all of us too that we have a voice that we need to make heard, so be sure to stand up; for those without; to those who have been given much, but do not do their part; for those who do not respect the dignity and rights of others; to all those who need the reminder to do the right thing; for those having trouble seeing "for the benefit of all".

May God give us the strength to keep on that path ourselves, to live up to our own potential.  Do we all have our priorities straight?  Are we "me" focused or God focused? In all things we are to put God first and the rest will fall in place. Ask for guidance and trust what He says.

We are grateful for the family, friends and faith communities we have that continue to encourage us to stay on the path.  Here's hoping you are successful this year in staying on the path that was designed for you. God is good and His will be done.
