Update from here...

Can you believe its mid October? Crazy isn't it! 

Life keeps rolling on here.
Honey is out today helping the adaptive sports program expand their storage building up at the ski area. Its getting close to that season!

On the farm here, the boys have been busy putting in fence along the northern edge of the property.  Thats been a tough job since there is so much rock out here. The backhoe and the loader have both really gotten a workout.  Progress is being made though.

Honey is building a platform to attach to the loader. The goal is to start working on the inside of the shop and the platform will help him reach the higher spots.

Oldest has a heavy school schedule this semester and spends most his free time doing homework. He's gearing up to take his science project on the road again, this time to the National FFA Convention's agriscience competition.  Its on  making biodiesel out of flax seed.  This is the second phase of his project which also took him to the International Science Fair in May of this year.  He is currently working on phase 3, including an environmental study of biodiesel.  He's a busy guy, who'd much prefer to be outside working on a project.

Its pheasant season and oldest got one yesterday.  Cousin is coming out tomorrow and I think they're going again.  Deer season starts next week too.  We're trying to make room in the freezer, which is easier said than done!

Youngest is doing great in his first year in high school.  He really enjoys school but also LOVES to be home working outside with equipment on the farm.  Special Olympics is gearing up and we've got a state Basketball tourney coming in less than a month.  Its a fun time.  Being around the athletes helps you remember how simple happiness is and how blessed we really are.  We've got a lot to learn from these folks.

Work is always busy for me. I enjoy my job, but it seems there is always more to do.  Still working on finding that balance between work and home.
