Tree update

Remember last spring when we planted 400 trees?  Well Spring is just arriving and we have been evaluating how they did.  It appears they were hard hit by the deer scratching and snacking on them. See below.

We've gotten our new shipment of trees and we are busy!  We've planted Colorado Blue Spruce, Black Hills Spruce, apricot, choke cherry, Hawthorne, oak, and more.

The evergreens were planted 20 feet apart, Seems like so much open space and hard to imagine that hopefully one day we will have a wall of evergreen!

God is so good, yesterday as we were trying to plant, it started to rain and rained the rest of the day. We haven't seen a rain like that in a long time.  We know we at least got a half inch, but we didn't put the rain gauge out until the afternoon.  We have been extremely dry here. The last few weeks have had some moisture, but its usually be a dusting of snow.  One thing I have observed, I think honey and oldest have really enjoyed working with the trees!
