Update from here.

All is well here. Its a dreary, cold, off and on snowy weekend here. Seems like a GREAT day to curl up and take a nap, but who has time for that??? ...still tempting!

Life is good here. The garage door for the shop arrived today while we were at church, so would anticipate we'll see someone out this week to put it up. Lots of dreaming going on here still- what type of insulation should we use? Where should we put the power poles? How should we run the power lines underground to the building? What kind of lighting should we get? We'll keep you posted.

Youngest is gearing up for spring special Olympics. He's training for cycling and softball throw.

Had youngest's IEP last week. School going VERY well. He has made that transition smoothly and has been blessed to fall into a very good, encouraging staff who knows just how to encourage him.

Those pondering travels our way: We've got two sets of company coming in July already! Oldest two men in the house are heading to Philmont, NM (Boy Scout High Adventure) to meet up with our former boys scout troop this summer as well. Those of you in that troop- you really rock! Thanks for continuing to think of us and thank you for letting oldest remain a part of things even though there are a few miles between us. Your generosity is very touching- we are grateful, Thank you! Thank you too Brislawn Family.

Thinking about a garden, I hear to shoot for memorial day to have it in. Shorter growing season here.

Oldest heads to the state FFA convention this week. He'll be competing in Livestock judging, mechanics and agri-science. Wishing him well!! He loves being involved in FFA. Did I ever tell you what his favorite class is in school? Tractor restoration. Do you remember that class when you were in school? He's busy with his science fair project. He is making bio diesel out of flax; looking at making pellets out of the leftover flax (for a pellet stove), using the glycerin for soap. I'm not sure he has a title for this yet. He's very motivated to work on it and hopes to take it to the national FFA convention later in the year.

I have officially passed my probation at my job and now have VACATION!!! Lets see how I can spend it!! But first, its a busy season at work that I need to get through, then time to RELAX!

Looking forward to heading East in May for a celebration with some awesome friends and hopefully a good stroll on the beach!! Nothing like friends who you pick up right where you left off- love you guys and you know who you are!!

Boys are enjoying the backhoe. All kinds of jobs to do here with one. Boys and their toys!!
